| After all this time, here we are, finally updating our blog. Hopefully this summer I will have a chance to add pictures and start keeping this thing updated.
Ryan and I are hitting a new phase of life right now. We are very excited about this phase, because it is directed towards reaching our future goal of full-time ministry.
Ryan is going to nursing school. This is not something that we ever thought he would do, but it is perfect and it seems that God is just opening doors. Ryan hopes to use nursing on the mission field, and it will be a career for him in which he will always be able to support our family (yes, someday we hope to have kids). Due to the amount of driving Ryan has to do, we also bought a "new" car, which we are excited about.
One of the most exciting things right now is that our church is starting a Bible institute. It is very focused and is geared towards missions/ministry. We are very very excited to get to be a part of this, as we continue to grow and to prepare for ministry.
Also, this week, in the evenings, we are taking an evangelism class. We're going to put what we learn into practice right away on Saturday in our own town! This will be stretching, challenging, and all together good for us. | | |
| Hello everyone,
It was so good to see everyone at youth group. I hope that everything is going well. I am so amazed at how awesome all of you are. Continue to trust God and live your life getting to know Him.
We are doing well. The school district in Texas that Carissa applied at is going to call her for a phone interview!! This may be the long awaited direction that we have been trusting God for, pray that this will result in a job. If it doesnt work out then I am sure that God has something else in store for us. The wedding is only 25 days away!!!
Love everyone

| Hi to all! So we have only had a few responses... You know who you are if you have replied. Anyway... Carissa and I are doing well... We are now here in Texas and are looking very hard for jobs. Pray that we can find jobs, it is starting to get very discoraging.
Love you all

| Reflections on Oklahoma
Oklahoma is a flat place, for the most part, except for the potholes in the roads. It is mostly quiet too, except for when a member of the Robinson family farts. They keep things lively. Their dog burps, too.
Ryan and I have been painting this house. The other day, while we were painting, I made a joke, which I do often, but Ryan thought that it was funny. I felt good about myself after that. For a while...until I sat in the paint bucket.
I like Oklahoma. I like it because Ryan grew up here. And I really like Ryan. I love him. I just thought that I would add that to my reflection.
Well, Ryan and I miss you guys. We've been praying for you. Keep us posted on how you all are doing.
love,

| It is a miracle! I am posting a log entry! So how is everyone? I really miss everyone at Outreach Youth, send me a little note and let me know how you are.
I have been dreaming alot about you guys lately... ok ok it is nothing gross. One was actually about Bob. Bob was in the middle of this giant wreck and somehow I ended up running into this big car pile up also. There was Bob's car right in the middle of everything, sticking out like a sore thumb as it usually does. Then the police took us into the police station. It was Bob and I and a ton of other people. We sat at the police station for a long time. Then finally they took us all into this large room and they sat us in a giant circle. They asked us all to write sorry notes to each other, and they asked us to tell everyone else that we would promise never to have a wreck like this again. It was a very touching moment with Bob and I in the police station.
Anyway I guess what I am saying is I miss you guys. Life has been good but challenging here in Oklahoma. Carissa and I are continuing to grow in our love for each other. Love is tough and it is a serious committment. We have been reading Scripture together and it has really helped us to grow closer to God. Just filling our minds with truth has been very helpful.
I hope everyone is doing well. The wedding is coming up on July 30th and we hope you can each make it. We will be sending invitations in a few weeks. So has Mark and Joy left yet?
Love you all Ryan | | |
